Tumbling Classes

Safety is always our number one priority. Tumble classes are designed to further the development of an athlete to achieve skills from beginner to advance tumbling. All tumbling is taught according to proper progression. We incorporate many skill-developing and conditioning drills to insure overall athlete safety and skill mastery. Tumbling classes are set up according to levels 1-5/6.  See below for more information regarding levels. Your athlete will be evaluated at the level they begin and moved to a different level when deemed appropriate by a tumbling coach.

Beginner Tumbling

This class is a solid introduction to basic tumbling. Your athlete will learn the importance of proper progression, responding to instruction and working in a class setting. The focus of this class is to ensure the proper strength and development of pre-requisite tumbling technique before advancing.

Go Kids

This class is specifically designed for 3-5 year olds. We utilize multiple basic activities and games to develop motor skills, body awareness and social skills. This is a great way to introduce a class setting to your young athlete.

TUMBLING LEVELS

LEVEL 1

Designed for the beginning tumbler. Athletes will work on the basics and progressions of tumbling learning skills like forward/backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, back bends, backbend kickovers, front/back walkovers.

LEVEL 2

Level 1 skills have been mastered. Skills to be mastered: standing back handspring, back walkover back handspring, round off back handspring(s), various specialty skills and combinations through round off back handspring. Standing and running tumbling will be a major focus at this level.

LEVEL 3

Level 2 skills have been mastered. Skills to be mastered: standing multiple back handsprings, jumps to multiple back handsprings, punch front, various specialty skills and combinations through to tuck. Both standing and running tumbling will be worked at this level.

LEVEL 4

Level 3 skills have been mastered. Skills to be mastered: standing tuck, standing back handspring(s) to tuck/layout, jumps to back handsprings to tuck/layout, round off back handspring layout, various specialty skills and combinations through to tuck/layout. Both standing and running tumbling will be worked at this level.

LEVEL 5/6

Level 4 skills have been mastered. Skills to be mastered: jumps to tuck, standing full, standing back handsprings to full/double full, round off back spring to full/double full, whips, arabians and various specialty skills and combinations through to full/double full.

Other Class Options

Private Instruction

-One-on-one instruction with a coach
-$30 for 30 minutes; $45 for 45 minutes; $60 for 60 minutes
-Contact the gym for instructions on how to schedule privates!

Semi-Private Instruction

-Work with 1 or 2 friends in a private setting
-Private Lesson pricing structure but split among the participating athletes
-Building confidence by feeding off of each other
